Family-raised beef. Premium quality.

WY Cattle Company offers premium F1 Akaushi-influenced beef raised in Wyoming. Our beef is known for rich marbling, tenderness, and full flavor — perfect for families who want high-quality beef straight from the ranch.

Why Akaushi Beef

Akaushi cattle are known worldwide for their distinct marbling that gives Akaushi beef a melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich, buttery flavor.

The high-fat content in Akaushi cattle leaves less room for muscle fiber and collagen, making the beef notably more tender than other breeds. It also contains a higher concentration of monounsaturated fat relative to saturated fat, which the American Heart Association notes can lead to lower cholesterol, the prevention of coronary heart disease and weight loss.

In addition, the high amount of oleic acid found in Akaushi beef gives it a deep, buttery taste, unlike any other beef on the American market. It provides a truly unique eating experience with a melt-in-your-mouth texture.

All our Akaushi cross beef is half Akaushi and half Angus/Simmental. Our Akaushi cattle are grain finished. It is all natural beef that is grown on pasture and supplement with hay when needed.

What Does F1 Akaushi Mean

“F1” means first-generation cross. Our F1 Akaushi cattle have parents from one fullblood Akaushi bull and a Angus/Simmental female, making them 50% Akaushi, 37.5% Angus, 12.5% Simmental.

Akaushi is a Japanese cattle breed celebrated for its exceptional marbling, tenderness, and rich flavor. Crossing Akaushi genetics with proven American cattle genetics allows us to produce beef that combines premium eating quality with the hardiness and performance needed to thrive in our region.

The result is beautifully marbled, flavorful beef raised with care—an elevated beef experience that remains approachable for everyday meals.
